Bursaries/Funding:
  • In May 2022 I was commissioned by 'Tappin' In' to create a brand new piece of outdoor work, incorporating tap, to be performed at Birmingham International Dance Festival 2022.
  • I was chosen to receive a MGC Futures Bursary for 2021. I am using the bursary to undertake a course in creative coding which will enable me to create interactive and immersive dance projects in the future. You can read more about my digital exploration here.
  • In October 2020, I was awarded funding from Arts Council England to develop and deliver creative movement workshops for Young People in Staffordshire.

Mentoring:
  • I am currently being mentored as part of the Masterclass / Jermyn Street Theatre mentoring programme. You can find out more in my news post about the programme.
  • As part of my role with Lichfield Festival, I mentor students from the University of Birmingham who are interested in arts management. I am also working with the University of Birmingham careers team to develop internships and work experience placements with the festival.

Speaking/Advocacy:
  • In December 2020, I was a guest speaker at 2FacedDance's (www.2faceddance.co.uk​) 'Multi-Story Festival', I wrote a blog post about the event which you can read here.
  • In 2018-2019, I was an ambassador for One Dance UK (https://www.onedanceuk.org/) and was a judge for the East Midlands Division of U.Dance 2019 (https://www.onedanceuk.org/programme/u-dance/).

Programmes/Residencies:
  • From March 2020 to March 2021, I was part of Create's 'Nurturing Talent' Programme, which involved training and shadowing in workshop facilitation across several artforms and platforms, and with a diverse range of disadvantaged and vulnerable participants. 
  • In November 2020, I was chosen to take part in Equity's (www.equity.org.uk​) 'Pathway's Programme. You can read about the scheme and what I did here.

Recognition:
  • In August 2020, I was shortlisted for Birmingham Chamber of Commerce's 'Future Face of Arts and Culture'.
  • In 2017, I was awarded a CBJS bursary to study an MPhil in Management at the University of Cambridge.
  • In 2016, I won several awards as a finalist at the University of Warwick: 'Outstanding Individual Contribution', 'Best Small Society', 'Best Event' (all Warwick SU), 'Most Improved Society' (National Union of Students) and 'Santander Bank Project Award' (through Warwick Volunteers).
