'Let's Move' awarded an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant

I’m very happy and proud to announce that I have been awarded an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant to develop and deliver a movement project called 'Let's Move' - online movement-based workshops with local groups of children and young adults.

​As a facilitator, I will develop and lead sessions that enable young people to actively explore their creativity and choreographic potential. The project will develop the idea that every individual has creative potential and a unique movement language and will expand on young people’s need for arts activity during this difficult period, to improve well-being and social cohesion.

Each 'Let's Move' workshop will introduce movement ideas through games and activities, feature exercises to progress participants’ movement understanding and will enable participants to create, and take ownership of, a piece of choreography.

My purpose, as an artist, is to inspire all individuals, regardless of background, to engage with and explore creativity activity, so that they may lead more fulfilling lives. This funding will not only help me on my journey to achieve this purpose but will ensure that young people have access to arts, are developing their creative skills and are becoming more confident within themselves.
